Documents

A document is defined as “a piece of written, printed, or electronic matter that provides information or evidence or that serves as an official record“.  We are fortunate to have a number of original documents that precede the American Revolution.

A 1952 newspaper article, complete with photos,  refers to the discovery of a “veritable treasure chest” of old documents uncovered at the Richmond Town Hall.  The Town Council ordered a clean-up and “worthless material”  was weeded out.

Fortunately many of those documents are in our possession.  How many, however, were considered scrap to be sold off, or filled a dump truck??????
