Beaver River Road cut through the Hoyle Farm and John Hoyle, his children and grandchildren, still reside on the land once farmed by their ancestors. The Beaver River meanders through the property.
In order to maintain the rural character of the area, many property owners made commitments for their property to remain open space. In 1989, the Hoyle family followed suit, selling the development rights, to a portion of their farm, to the State of Rhode Island .
Turf is still grown on the property.
